This project was one of the rare occasions when we took on a project for a private residential property in North Oxford.
Our brief was to maximise the useable area of the property, whilst ensuring that the extension areas were built to best match the existing building, even down to the colouring and type of stone used. It was also important to ensure that the finished house was in keeping with the surrounding neighbourhood externally.
This job involved numerous and significant redesigns due to a tree in the garden with a preservation order, so we had to work carefully to ensure that we fulfilled our remit without undermining or damaging the tree. In addition we needed to all but remove the rear of the property and keep it propped up whilst construction took place.
As well as these demanding requirements for the external work, we also needed to produce an exceptional level of quality in the modern interior aspects of the project.
We employed trusted subcontractors for all the main sub-con parts of this project.
In order to ensure that all aspects of the project were delivered to the client’s
satisfaction we made sure that we took an active lead role in liaising with the client’s architect over the details of the design.
As usual, we ensured that we always
provided ample office-based support for our on-site foreman, to keep the project on track and deal with any liaison and communication required.
We took a ‘hands-on’ proactive role with our client and professional team to help the decision making process associated with any design and monetary issues. This ensured that we kept the project on time and delivered within the budget.
We take great pride and interest in all elements of our work to produce a coherent, best quality outcome.
The client was extremely happy with the results.
We have been delighted with the work that your company has produced and the level of courtesy has been exemplary.
